Lancaster, NY (March 25, 2020) - Apple Rubber supplies advanced sealing solutions to many critical industries, including healthcare, medical device, national defense, food processing and infrastructure components. At this time, we will remain open to receive and ship materials, as well as provide critical seal design and laboratory support from our Lancaster, New York, facility amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision is in accordance with all current national, state and local guidelines associated with reducing the spread of the coronavirus.

The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Agency (“CISA”) of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued on March 19, 2020, “Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure and National Resilience in COVID-19 Response” (the “CISA Guidance”).

This statement promotes the ability of specific critical infrastructure sectors “to work during periods of community restriction, access management, social distancing, or closure orders/directives” as “crucial to community resilience and continuity of essential functions” (Critical Infrastructure Sectors).

We believe that we currently support all of the critical sectors. We also have received many letters from our customers echoing this need for essential support. To support our community and critical industries, we will remain open and actively manufacturing crucial rubber sealing components.

Apple Rubber is proactively adjusting its on-site personnel to meet customer demands. All non-essential work has been moved off-site in accordance with the latest legislative guidelines. We have taken many steps to protect the health of our employees and the communities we live in. We will continue to assess and adjust as the situation evolves in North America.

Sincerely,

John Tranquilli
